Film Producer Steinar Hybertsen will show his documentary on The Marshall Plan, the recovery plan designed by General and Secretary of State George C. Marshall to help a Europe devastated by the effects of WW II. The economy in post-war Europe is in shambles. There are no cash and no place to finance the rebuilding of the countries involved. The Marshall Plan was initiated in 1947 and is one of the most successful international economic recovery plans in history. The gratitude that we as Norwegian feel towards the Americans for this help in rebuilding our country is in-measurable.
